The Worrying is Over. For now...

I thought I would complete a quick update to my blog before departing for Dubai just in case some of you might be worrying if I am going to get there or not?

Well the worrying is over for the outward journey because the very nice people from Virgin Atlantic have accepted my BA ticket and allowed me to travel on their VS400 flight which departs from London Heathrow Terminal 3 in just under one hour's time.  Apparently and this is rather amazing, their flight is wide open this evening in contrast to the two BA flights which are oversold.

Anyway, that isn't my problem and so boarding card in hand, I will shortly be making my way to Gate 16.  Two observations from T3 before uploading this dispatch - the Virgin Atlantic staff in the main look about 18 (yes I'm showing my age) and all display big smiles and a happy disposition.  The other thing is that the terminal displays a level of frenetic activity in stark contrast to T5 which I always find to be a haven of peace and serenity despite the very high numbers of travellers that pass through on any day.

So from the rain of London to the sunshine of Dubai in the morning and the unveiling of my new black shorts and my legs!
